We had an amazing time Saturday, Jan. 21st at our first murder mystery dinner with C.J. Callway's! Magnificent menu, costumes and personalities! Despite a super windy night, everyone came in their 1920's best--- feathers, pearls, cigarette holders, headpieces, and fingerwaves for the ladies---suits, hats, cigars, guns, even some vintage shoes for the guys! With 1920's music playing throughout the night, "signed" mobster posters, ads from the 1920's, and Gino Gin (Will) running the bar, Calico Skies transitioned into the Juice Joint perfectly. The evening started with a glass of raspberry and hors d'oeuvres, giving guests a chance to look over envelope A which held their initial objectives. A photobooth for mugshots, and Laura Marie Photography was there capturing scenes from the evening.  The guests sat down for dinner which was prepared and served by C.J. Callaway's with Chef April and Chef Phillip on site.

Dinner started with a caramelized pear, brie, and walnut salad paired with Brianna---with the main course a filet with lobster hollandaise paired with Chambourcin. There were a few guests who used time in between courses to further their career---Bernie Booze pouring samples of his bootlegged booze---Gloria Gossip with her camera and notepad always at her side ready to catch any new news or secrets---Cindy Butt with cigarettes, cigars ready for sale. Officer David and Officer Stan noted there were many complaints of missing fun money throughout the night (guests were given wads of "cash" to use however they wished). Dessert was AMAZING --- a beautiful chocolate torte paired with Frontenac was the perfect finish. Guests didn't forget their dancing shoes either! We had a Charleston dance off after learning a few 20's steps from dance instructor Amanda H. who works with BritZa Studios out of Sioux Falls who also doubled as Fay Wrey- actress from the 1920's.

Envelope B was opened after the "murder" containing information and evidence to start the investigation. Awards were given out to the Charleston dancers, Drama King---Bernie Booze, Dressed to Kill---Mugsy Malone, Mrs. Money Bags---Cindy Butt, and The Smoking Gun Award to six guests who, with great detective skills, guessed the correct killer.

We had a great time and really appreciate all who attended making the most of the evening! You were awesome! As well as C.J. Callaway's---we are so lucky to be working with them on our dinners! Next murder mystery is set for February 18th---Lights, Camera, "Murder" --- Stay tuned for details!
