We had a blast celebrating Halloween and debuting Chambourcin 2015 at our October Winemaker's Dinner! We host monthly dinners giving us an opportunity to introduce you to our wines in a different way. Each month is dedicated to a wine on our menu. Chef Tina also shares a recipe from the menu each month and I would recommend giving this one a try! Savory Bacon Walnut Scone... Yum. Thank you to all who attended! We started the evening off by enjoying an appetizer by Elite Catering and live music by musician, Billy Lurken. We toured and tasted our way through the vineyard and journeyed back to the pergola for dinner and dessert. This event gives us chance to show our members what we have been doing in the vineyard as well as describing our vineyard site and how that effects the grapes and how the weather this year has affected the 2016 vintage.

JULY WINE OF THE MONTH - SWEET LICKS
"Brilliant clear ruby color. Bright, fruity aromas and flavors of red berry nut tart and grape popsicle and seltzer with a silky, tangy, petillant, off-dry light-to-medium body and a smooth, buoyant cranberry and sour cherry sorbets and red grape skins finish with soft, crunchy, fruit tannins and no oak. A nice, grapey off-dry wine with mouthwatering acidity."

We got to relive prom at the winery! Our guests were dressed to the nines... Gowns and Tuxes from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and today. DJ, Chris Hintz with Pinnacle Productions was on the music detail and The Riviera was on the food.

A sold out dinner once again! 82 guests, 1 table of 8 - 1 table of 6 - 3 tables for 4 - and 28 tables set for 2... We got to pair up with Chef Jeni and Co. for the 3rd year!
Jenna, our Events Coordinator, got to meet up with Chef Jeni to perfect the menu with wine pairings a few days prior to the event. Chef Jeni decided on an "Around the World" theme to the menu.

We hosted our first ever Lobster Boil Thursday, June 18th in the vineyard under the pergola! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening to dine in the vines... Uncle Ed's Specialty Meats and Catering was there boiling the shrimp, potatoes, sweet corn, and lobster right on site while Billy Lurken was on the guitar helping to create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and some great conversation. The meal was perfectly paired to our, yet to be released, 2013 Traminette-crisp, citrus and floral. We are definitely looking forward to having a lobster boil as an annual celebration of summer!
